For a long time I have known that the amalgams I had in my teeth were not great to have as part of my body. What I didn’t know was that there is a “proper” way of removing them which includes more than just the “rubber duck” many dentists use.
That was a real SHOCK to me.
Why is it bad to have amalgam fillings in your mouth? Most dentists say that the ones you already have are NO harm to you and that they will not put other ones in.
Mercury is one of the most toxic substances known to man and it is linked to infertility, kidney damage, poisoning of the pituitary gland and brain tumours, just to name a few of the problems. Did you know that thyroid abnormalities cannot be righted until amalgams are removed? From the time the mercury is placed in your mouth, until the day you die or lose your teeth, chewing causes mercury vapour to escape. It will then enter the bloodstream and is delivered to all parts of the body, including the brain.
After reading all these issues about mercury toxicity, I decided to have them removed, but the first dentist to do that was only concerned with me swallowing any mercury material. He was not really aware or worried about the vapors I was breathing in.
The US Environmental Protection Agency classifies mercury filling material, once removed from the mouth, as a toxic waste that must then be carefully handled in special containers, and buried in toxic waste sites. Did you know that?
After my first experience removing the amalgam from my bottom teeth, I noticed that my memory was NOT the same. I could clearly say that something was not right, but only about 6 years down the track I have made the relationship to removing the fillings. Some people’s bodies work better than others to detoxify. I know my body is not one of those and that is why I have such a hard time with chemicals in my life (air fresheners, cleaning products, perfumes, sprays, pesticide, personal care products, etc).
So I found a “holistic dentist” and the way he removed the other amalgams from my top teeth was very different form the first time I had this procedure done.
